Well, I have composed an opera with a sacred theme, and I think it is interesting to add here the first recording made of one of its Arias.

This is the Aramaic version of Pater Noster (Lord's Prayer) for a Baritone with the piano reduction
Aramaic is the language believed to have been spoken by Jesus Christ

The name of the Aria in the original language is ܐܒܘܢ
it sounds "Abwun"  and means almost the same as "Our Father"

The Opera name is  ܡܠܟܐ ܕܝܗܘܕܝܐ {Op.33}
it sounds "Malk'a) d'iyhuwd,aye)" and means "King of Jews"
it is my Op.33

This will be specially interesting for the ones who have interest in the legendary version made by Alexander Dreyschock of Chopin's Op.10 No.12 in octaves.

Also, the pianist Antonio Domingos made a very interesting version which is already available on youtube. Although there are some people who deslike these new versions and transcriptions, I think it is interesting remember that we had similar works made by Liszt, Godowsky, Reger, Michalowski, Phillip, Zadora, Busoni, Tausig, and several others.

I find this Egmont transcription more successful than the Henselt one, which I've played and consider a bit thin. I think it is much harder to transcribe Beethoven and Wagner successfully than bel canto, for example - the textures are deeper and more "volcanic". Using too much tremolando to make the sound thicker also can imo become a bit repetitive and cliched after a while.

I used the full score for the transcription, but I had carefully read Henselt, Weiss (Julien) and Stradal versions long ago, so i understand exactly what you mean.

Today is 86 years without Anna Pavlova

Anna Pavlova dancing "The Dying Swan" which Mikhail Fokine made specially for her in 1905
Mute video made in 1925 at the Imperial Maryinsky Theater (if I'm not wrong).

Although this video was already in internet, it is always shown "seep up" like Charles Chaplin mute movies.
I slow down the video and played the Saint-Saens/Siloti piano transcription while watching the video in a big screen.
The choreography and music seems much more connected now than in the other videos I found.

It is nice to note the differences between Pavlova (who dances the "first version"), the recreation by Isabelle Fokine based in the photos of the later revision by Mikhail Fokine and the version by Maya Plisetskaya which is almost a completely different choreography in several aspects (beautiful too, but not in Fokine's style).

Szántó (1877-1934) was composer and virtuoso pianist, pupil of Busoni, he made the piano revision of Delius Piano Concerto as we know today. and was friend of Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy, Ferruccio Busoni, Leopold Godowsky, Isidor Phillip, Frederick Delius, Gottfried Galston. Josef Weiss, Alfredo Casella, Emil von Sauer, Bela Bartok, Zoltan Kodaly, Ernst von Dohnányi, Otto Klemperer, Igor Stravinsky, Florent Schmitt,  Ricardo Viñes, among others.

I know it's a bit silly to more or less ask if you do requests, but have you looked at the Adolfo Fumagalli Robert le Diable for left hand only (op.106)? To me, it seems quite amazing. I've tried to play it and some of it is just beyond me. There is a recording in existence but, good as it is, it's not diabolical enough.

Actually maybe it is necessary just a small trick, holding too much may be the main problem, your thumb must be very flexible and fast in this piece. No "tenuta" in its playing.
Anyway let me know which bars exactly gives you this problem (with fingers 543) and I'll try my best to show you how to do it like me or better (with a fingering if necessary)

And now the Cavatine segment makes more sense! As you know, I've recorded the Kullak transcription of the Cavatine, but Fumagalli's treatment of it is really clever, and maybe I prefer the one hand version to two here! Amazing. I'm happy to know you think like this too.
Probably you have noticed that my idea is not to make other pianists play "like me" - as the most part of master-classes teachers do - but make then stop to copy other pianists recordings in order to find their own "voices"!
Franz Liszt's Sonata in b minor is the theme of the next master-class, it is already done, I shall upload in the next weeks.
