First I would ike to say how pleased I am with Piano Street.
I am glad you find our
sheet music library useful!

The quality of the scans and the care taken is exceptional.
Well, we are privilegied to have Henrik (our chat moderator) as the Managing Director of the Piano Street scanning department.

With almost 15 000 scanned pages of sheet music under his hands he for sure knows how to handle a scanner.
I do have a question. I noticed that the average number of new pieces has gone down to the point where it is not even near the advertised number of new pieces.... even if you average in months when much has been added.... I could be in error here -- correct me if I am wrong.
You are perfectly right.
There were several months since the last major update which is far too much.
The reason is that we have had serious problems with the scanners. We use a special model which is optimal for scanning sheet music and the first one we had lasted for more than 13 000 pages before it broke down. I guess that is fair enough, but it's successors have been unbelievably weak in comparision. We have since then consumed four other scanners which have only lasted for 3-20 hours each before they died and the manifacturer keep sending us replacement copies without beeing able to tell why they break. So now the Piano Street office is mainly occupied by a pile of broken scanners...

All this has of course slowed down the addition of scanned pages but on the other hand we have still been able to produce our own type set editions and urtexts as well as many recordings so you can look forward to an exciting update within a couple of weeks.
