Local elections vs. regularly scheduled TV programming
on: November 08, 2006, 03:40:04 PM
I am ecstatic about the Democrats in the progress of taking back Congress from the GOP as we speak, but I do have a mildly fustrating story to tell...
I live in Oregon, where there is no Senate race this year. The biggest race is for governor. Last night I was watching 'House' on Fox, and about halfway through the show they cut it off to bring coverage of the local governor's race, and who had won.
Now, this would normally not faze me, since they usually run about 3 or 4 minutes. However, they mis-timed when the governor for this term would speak, and the coverage lasted for
20 minutes
. Then, they cut off the
governor
about a minute into his speech, to bring me back to House, of which I have now missed basically the whole 2nd half of the episode.
If that wasn't bad enough, after only 3 minutes back in the program, just when the suspense is about to build up, they cut the show off, AGAIN, to run 8 minutes of
commercials
.
OMG I've never seen a blunder like that in my entire life.
This is my way of venting my anger, so you don't necessarily have to respond to the above, but I do have a question for you:
Does Fox run House at any other time of the week? Is there a chance I can still see this episode?
