I love his interpretation, very interesting and operatic allthough not technically perfect. It's very enjoyable. thanks

That video is from when he won the Liszt competition in 1989. I have seen him a year ago, he basically plays with the same intensity and pleasure, but without the wrong notes :) .

but he did a lot wrong notes in that video though. Is he gonna perform in US sometimes?

Stupidly enough, only the jury of major competitions do.

It was a very goor performace of this piece  :D Thanks for posting

But one thing, u guys are prolly gonna kill me for this, but i like the way LangLang brings out the bass in this piece in the theme near the end.It sounds more strong like that(well maybe just for me) some of you will say that he's a clown and blah blah blah, but he knows how to release tension where it's needed  ;)
the metranome is my enemy

according to this https://inkpot.com/concert/hkpiano20053.html, you will be killed fore sure :D. But I do like langlang's performance of that piece too. It's very dramatic and exciting although it may offend some people.

offend? who cares about them? ::)
anyway, very nice performance, but when you see langx2's facial expression and relief after playing the last chord, you see all of his energy, passion and feelings that he put into the performance. unlike when who has got like "ok it's easy for me,what next do you want me to play" attitude.
btw he should practise the thirds ;D

I know everyone hates it to death, Lisitsa's INTERPRETATION is my favorite.  She does lose control (Majorly.) near the end, but I love her ideals for the peice.

I hate her Don Juan! She is just horrible-absolutely no music-just technique and no feelings.. and yes-she lost control many times, even her last chord wasn't clean.. I don't like those show-off people...

hey, you can hate her but please do not hate show-off people. She has nothing to show off, horrible technique, countless wrong notes. she's cute though
