I cannot be certain who it may have been, but I can assure you that this is not public forum information, if you don't mind; please send me an email to my private address and I will respond by telling you what you want to know.
all for a couple of cat's. they must have risque names. you can't say them on a public forum. what? pussy #1 and pussy #2. you see. alistair. it's just that simple. a pet is a pet. their name isn't going to kill the world of intruege. unless...unless of course - they are not cats.
Yeah, something's up with his cats.. I wonder what he's done to them.. Poor poor kitties..
"Cats", pianistimo - not "cat's" - and I presume that "intruege" means "intrigue".
Let me first assure you that they
are both cats and have been since birth (i.e. not genetically modified).
Secondly, I did not write that I "can't say" their names "on a public forum"; what I can or cannot do is not the same as what I choose to do or not to do.
They're just fine, actually. What I will say is that they are two from the same litter (a litter of just two, as it happens) who will reach the age of 13 next May. What have I "done" to them? Well, fed them, looked after them, taken them to the vet whenever necessary - you know, all the usual things - and do remember the old adage "dogs have masters; cats have servants".
They've each done their fair share of catching wildlife, although when one of them once caught an owl, I was rather surprised; this prompted me to think of "The Owl and the Pussycat: A Very Short Story"...
Not everyone writes quite as much about the personal details of daily life on public fora as does pianistimo, but that, as we have all noted, is her prerogative; she clearly enjoys parading a lot of information about what would otherwise be her private life here. As with music and most other things in life, however, we don't all happen to share the same enjoyments in what we do.
Do we get to hear the parable of the cats next?
Best,
Alistair
