Nasal Hair Tweezing and The Bible
on: December 28, 2006, 01:17:08 AM
My best friend, Barbara, a former runway model, and now neuro-surgeon, says that tweezing nasal hairs can cause a nasal membrane infection and she uses some expensive battery-operated device.  Any thoughts on this?

What??  Oh, yes . . . The Bible.  I just thought I'd get it out there at the top, since it'll inexplicably pop up somewhere in this thread before we can say, "Jesus."

p.s.  I think the "Winter Wind" Etude is a total bilge-bag.  I mean, no matter how long you practice it at one-third tempo (22 to 34 months), then finally play it JUST FOR YOURSELF at tempo, every single time you play it for someone else, you get slightly tense and it all goes to hell in a handbag.

Forget it.

Now the "Revolutionary" is another thing.  The piece rocks, but you have to practice it almost forever at a snail's pace to make sure no tension creeps in ANYWHERE.  And, Opus 25, No. 12, same thing.  But when you fly with it -- you soar with it.

Feedback?  Suggestions?  Returns?  Alterations?

Anyone??
Current repertoire:  "Come to Jesus" (in whole-notes)

You mean, what's the meaning of life and why all this trouble, and why God didn't create a nasal hair cutter after creating nasal hair?

You're so right... it's a tragedy...   :-X
