Mendelssohn Concerto No. 1

If you had to break up the first two movements of Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto No. 1 (g minor) and perform them both completely separate, where would you divide them?  I may have to do that this semester.

Because when I sign up to play on Piano Performance class here at my university, I'm not allowed to have a piece more than 8 minutes long.  My teacher probably has enough leverage to get me on the program anyway, but I'm just curious.

Why don't you play a piece that is under 8 minutes long then?

I did ask the first question.  Do you mind answering it?

Obviously, don't break up the first two movements and play another piece instead is the answer.

Re: Mendelssohn Concerto No. 1 for SOLO piano

Hi folks:

I am looking for sheet music for SOLO piano for Mendelssohn's Concerto 1 Opus 25.  Any suggestions?  I might be asking a stupid question but please bear in mind that I am not myself a musician, I am trying to obtain it for my music student daughter.
