Pleyel and The Piano Book by Larry Fine
on: August 15, 2002, 05:05:18 AM
Hello,
If anyone has the Piano Book by Larry Fine, I would very much like to know what Mr. Fine has to say about the Pleyel 130.
I would also appreciate hearing any information or insights you have regarding Pleyel. Seems like information on this brand is hard to find.

I don't know if Pleyel is listed, but you can get the Fine book by having your library send out for it.

In the 4th Edition of The Piano Book, Fine does not address the Pleyel Model 130 specifically. He basically said that no information was available from his survey because Pleyels were too new to the U.S. market, but added that they do appear to be of high quality. But at $40,000+ I'd look right here at Baldwin, Steinway, and Mason & Hamlin grands first.
