DISCOVERY- Chopin's 4th Sonata in F Minor

The complete manuscript of a FOURTH Chopin Piano Sonata (in F minor) was allegedly discovered in a leather portfolio mid-week in a Paris apartment! It appears that the owner of the apartment was the descendant of a pupil of Chopin.

According to my source, the Sonata is in four movements:

1. Allegro Assai
2. Scherzo Allegro Vivace
3. Larghetto
4. Presto

Methinks da Jake is a musicologist who knows someone who knows someone. OR he is in fact s******g us. The scheme of the movements and their headings seem correct, the f minor Concerto has a "Larghetto" slow mvt. and Sonatas 2 and 3 both end with a "Presto". We shall see...

If this is true, Zimmerman should get the honor, imo.

There was a new Mozart piece discovered last year, only a 2minute something.  Forget what it was exaclty, but i was an early work, performed at the Salzburg festival.

It is an unsigned work that bears the title Allegro di Wolfgango Mozart and is believed to have been composed when he was but 6-10 years old.  It was premiered last year by harpsichordist Florian Birsak.
