New Piano Market Statistics: Inside the Quiet Transformation of Piano Playing

For those of us who spend our lives on the bench — whether teaching, practicing for a recital, or simply playing for the love of it – the piano has always been a singular concept: wood, felt, strings, and soul. Brahms-Busoni?
on: April 02, 2007, 01:13:27 PM
Do you have the lovely Brahms chorale preludes of Brahms that Busoni so adeptly transcribed for piano?

Spring is here and they seem to be the right thing to play.

Thanks.

Do you mean Bach?

Nope.  Brahms.  Op. 122.  Busoni transcribed 6 or 8 of the 11, depending on who you ask.

The Bach ones are lovely, but very available, so no need to post them here (at least for my sake).

The Brahms one are the ones I am looking for.  Thanks.

How lovely.  Thanks profoundly.

Whose handwritten notes?

...so much music seldom played and so beautiful.  I truly don't understand why so many play Beethoven sonatas and Chopin Ballades but most don't even know this stuff exists.  Nothing wrong with Beethoven or Chopin, but...you know... spread it a little, right?

Oh Well.

I take it there are 6, then.
