I think thats more a self-irony thing. Good sense of humour for me is someone who can instantly see the humour in anything that comes up, when its appropriate of course.

to relax and let go.  i think it depends upon the day.  i mean, if i feel really grumpy - and my husband tells a joke and it sounds the slightest bit like a tease joke - then i just get mad.

I agree with this, it's somebody who can take things lightly, create an atmosphere of fun.  Humour is two way, it's about everybody laughing.

That said, I've known a few people who were pretty funny, but their jokes were limited...  After spending some time with them I started hearing the same jokes over and over.  It's like when you see a good standup comic, but the next time they come to town they're using the same act - not as good.

To have a good sense of humour is to not take bad things that happen to you too seriously (being able to laugh at it), even if others laugh and make fun of you about the matter.
