Anyone gonna be in LA May 11 for Vine's 3rd sonata premiere?

This is a bit of a late notice for those of you in the area, but Australian composer Carl Vine's Piano Sonata No. 3 (2007) will be premiered tomorrow at the Colburn School for the Performing Arts in Los Angeles. As a student there, I've known for a while, so its kind of a shame that I post this so late. Here is the program:

I just got back from the concert. Vine's 3rd sonata was great! It's a shame that there wasn't a bigger turnout for the concert, for it was a really great program.

I wish I could've gone!  Jeanne is a friend of mine, but I had finals this week... 

I'm sure she was amazing as usual!

To tell the truth, I found her playing a bit dry at times, and she didn't have as much "umph" as I had hoped for, especially in the premiere. She definitely had a feeling for the Beethoven and Schubert-Liszt though and did a decent job with those.

Yeah, I am still a bit shocked by that. He had an Australian work premiered in America, and where I study? What are the chances...

Just pisses me off how weak the Australian Musical Culture is.

At least you have 4 or 5 renowned orchestras and draw famous performers - New York always has stuff happening does it not.
We have SSO with the odd conductor coming down.

It seems to me that the people there are hungrier for this type of culture than the people here. Classical music seems to be dying in Los Angeles. It's just my opinion, though.
