those are my sons hours.  i try to make it to bed before 10:00pm and earlier if tired.  but, lately, i've been waking up again in the middle of the night.  so, then i get up at 6:00 am - do something (dishes/laundry whatever) and then, go back to sleep for an hour or two.  i would like to have a regular cycle again.  how to do this?  my aunt suggested hrt (hormone replacement therapy).  that sounds 'old' to me.  i think i'll suffer.

Recently up at 6:30-7AM, down around midnight.

From here they gradually shift later and later until I'm completely screwed up.  In the AM I love sleep, by the PM I'm avoiding it as far as possible.

You ride like me Pianistimo, I'm not fond of being passed.  Only once going up a mountain with an athletic girl, I was nearly puking trying to keep up with her.  It was the most fun ;D

Next time I'm in PA we'll have a race uphill.  I'll go until my knees explode!

ok.  it's a plan.  i can keep up with most cyclists on hills.  i found the secret is weaving in and out.  it gives you a competitive edge so that nobody can pass you even if you are slower on the hills.  seriously, i do a very slight weave because it keeps the momentum up long hills.  if you just take it straight up - it IS harder on your knees.

watch out on the flat areas, though.  i was probably going 60 mph today in a thin straight line.  i think i'm ready for a woman's navy seals program in cycling.  strange that i cannot do this with swimming or jogging - but cycling is very easy on my knees.  today - after so much cycling though - i am hobbling down the stairs.  i sort of do this limp jump thing.

exercise is good for regulating sleep.

Pianistimo rises on a Friday and decends about 3 days later.

how's the girlfriend today?  bet you're staying up late talking on the phone.  going to make getting to work hard.  but, people in love start running on adrenaline.

Ideally, left to myself, I gravitate to sleeping around midnight to 8:00 a.m. or 9:00 a.m. On working days this shifts forward to 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. There are times when I need more sleep and times when I need less; I just adjust accordingly. I never get up during the night though, unless I have too many cups of tea at supper of course. Once I am down I stay down. I seldom remain awake for more the a few minutes after getting into bed and tend to get up as soon as I wake.

I am unable to get into the habit of going to bed when I feel tired. I have a really comfy sofa and what normally happens is I fall asleep on it whilst watching TV. This can be anwhere between 10:30pm- midnight. I wake up around 1am +/- an hour or two, brush my teeth, then go to bed.
My alarm is set for 6:48 am and I am normally out of bed at 6:55am

I thought you would understand that joke.

No idea how she is today. I saw her yesterday and don't want to appear pushy.

Same for me, only I get up at 8AM during the academic year.

Sometimes I stay up until 3 or 4 in the morning; best time of day, imo.
