Mozart Sonatas
on: July 08, 2007, 11:35:29 AM
Has anyone performed all of Mozart's piano sonatas? If so, I have a few questions for you  ;D.
Asked if he had ever conducted any Stockhausen,Sir Thomas Beecham replied, "No, but I once trod in some."

Hi mcgill,

No, I have not played them all, unfortunately.  I have done 3 or 4 of Mozart's sonatas and 6 of the concertos.  This past year I did hear Leonidas Lipovetsky, who performed all the Mozart sonatas in a cycle over a few weeks.  I don't know how to get in touch with him, but here is a link to an article:

Thanks a lot for the article, it was very interesting. :)

Oh, and who is the editor?!?! There are a few pretty serious errors.

No, I don't have performed all of Mozart's Sonatas, only two, but I have played them all  :D

Now, what's the question?  :)

I've played them all too, but I really need someone who has PERFORMED them all.

You're welcome.  I just looked at the article again after I had initially scanned it--I did notice a couple of things, like the "C-minor sonata with its Rondo all a Turca"--oops.

I'm curious as to what questions you have of someone that they must have performed ALL the sonatas.   :)

Quite simple...I want to know which of the 18 sonatas, if any, they found difficult to pull off in performance.
