Beginner Piano player

Hi everyone!

I am 34 and I am a classical guitarist and I sometimes mess around on the piano.  I love all the great composers. Where should I start on the piano?  What composers should I be practicing? Practice and technique?

Its good that you're a classical guitarist - it means that you have finger strength and coordination that can be easily carried onto the piano. The composers that you learn would probably depend on where you want to go in piano. I'd say to learn the basic technical skills first (not hanon though!! yuck) and then play a variety of easy piano songs to see what you like. I wouldnt spend too much time on practicing technical stuff though, play stuff you like, but make sure its reasonable. Or try and find some arrangements of pieces you like if they're hard. Have fun!

*edit* Anna Magdalena's Notebook might be a suitabe starting place
