Guess the work!
on: October 17, 2007, 07:05:42 PM
This is a very simple and fun game. For example:

Scar - latte - Sinatra - Canine becomes Scarlatti Sonata K 9.

Everybody's welcome to post their own puzzles.

You're all right! (Except perhaps Thal)

1. Stock - house - microphone

2. Wagner tuba . the rhine - gold

3. Unravel - tomb - coop - ring

Hopefully someone else can come up with a few?

How do you make the images smaller?  Okay, there's no key or opus number on this.......so it's not a specific one, but this is the best I was willing to do right now.

Theme from "Psycho Beach Party"?  No, wait.

(Just funnin', blintz.)

It's Beethoven String Quartet!  (I love that quart container:  "Rain Bird Irrigation Supplement."  What a hoot.  Couldn't find a milk carton, huh?)  ;D
Current repertoire:  "Come to Jesus" (in whole-notes)

Sorry, I think a little help is needed.
I did rush it a bit.

Pic 1.  What sort of motorbike is it?

Pic 2. I think we have.

Pic 3. I thought that a car fan may get this.

Pic 4. As above.

Sorry, it may have been a bit hard.
I'll do an easier one next time, promise.
Thank you and Goodnight.

Aha!  Rami.

Chopin Prelude number 7.

Bike is a chopper.  Cho-pan.

Okay Rami, I am a car fan and I tried to figure out what kind of car that was, but the pic was too small to see.    Whenever I see a tricked out car I have the hardest time telling the model.  Honestly, I think I would have gotten it if you had chosen a stock prelude.  Great job though--it was a fun one.

Yes, that's right. I suppose i should have written that as well. The first composer is just his surname, while the other two are their full names. I can give specific hints if you want.

You're all right!

1.
Pork - Cough - F
Hail - 2 - Stalin

Prokofiev - Hail to Stalin

2.
Morris Minor - Ra - Well
Tree - bows - birds of paradise

Maurice Ravel - Trois beaux oiseaux du paradis (a relatively obscure a capella song)
I suppose i should have just put a 3 instead of the tree, the interlingual stuff didn't work out too well.

3.
Cloud - Depp - Uzi
Terrace - Audience - moonlight

Claude Debussy - La terrasse des audiences de clair de lune
Belles journées, souris du temps,
vous rongez peu à peu ma vie.

Et mal vécus, à mon envie.
