I'm going to the Proms in July to see him live! Can't wait. I listened to him on radio three, and his performances were breath taking.

I seen him at the Proms too! He was awesome! He played and looked like a star! One guy behing me shouted Bravo, that gave me the incentive to do the same.

Do you realise you quoted yourself before saying that?

I heard that he used to have terrible stage fright--apparently he has overcome it!

I didn't quote myself, actually. What does it matter?

I was in the Steinway showroom in London last week simply because I finished a meeting early nearby. As I went in to try out the pianos, this guy started playing like an absolute virtuoso. I was so stunned I just sat and listened to him agog. It was Yevgeny Sudbin trying out the pianos. We got talking and it turns out he was at the St. Petersburg Conservatory at the same time as my piano teacher. They are now back in contact again after many years. He's an extremely nice guy, very friendly and really modest. He's also a huge pianistic talent. Needless to say I decided not to get on the next piano to him and have a go.......another day perhaps ;-)

That's hilarious. My mother used to forget she said something and then would quote it as well. ;D
