The Quiet Revolutionary of the Piano – Fauré’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

In the pantheon of French music, Gabriel Fauré (1845–1924) often seems a paradox—an innovator cloaked in restraint, a Romantic by birth who shaped the contours of modern French music with quiet insistence. Piano Street now provides sheet music for his complete piano works: a body of music that resists spectacle, even as it brims with invention and brilliance. Read more

We Will Remember Them
on: April 25, 2008, 01:25:51 PM
Just something for the Aussies and Kiwis on here.

They shall not grow old, as we who are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning.
We will remember them.

Lest We Forget.

Thankyou to all the men who fought and died. My thoughts are with the families of those who are gone.

What do you to to "celebrate" ANZAC day?

Just like Memorial Day?

Just like Memorial Day?

We have dawn services at some memorials, and parades for the veterans. Lots of people wear poppies.
Some people make ANZAC biscuits, my mum makes the best ones.

Poems of Ecstasy – Scriabin’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

The great early 20th-century composer Alexander Scriabin left us 74 published opuses, and several unpublished manuscripts, mainly from his teenage years – when he would never go to bed without first putting a copy of Chopin’s music under his pillow. All of these scores (220 pieces in total) can now be found on Piano Street’s Scriabin page. Read more
