Goodbye metabo in Japan?

I could not imagine having something like that imposed in the US.  It seems very unnatural and uncontrollable, except in the sense that if you only allowed people of a certain body type to survive... everyone would look that way eventually.

It's amazing Japan does not have more suicide bombings.
