It's the same chat as before the forum upgrade:

The chat is temporary closed because of general maintainance work in the forum. We are not upgrading the chat at the moment but will look into that later.

Could be the windows firewall in theory, but haven't heard of it specifically blocking flash applications...as in spyware removal stuff or the bad stuff?

Paige, try installing the Adobe Flash Player https://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash

It's not my computer. It's my parents, but I think we've already installed that.

Yes, it's tricky and almost impossible to diagnose the problem here.
I suggest that anyone with such problems contact us on customerservice@pianostreet.com or in the live support chat (which is usually online during European business hours) to get help.

Some general advice is, as already mentioned, to upgrade to or reinstall the latest flash player. It could also be worth trying to clear the web browser's cookies and temporary Internet files.

I knew as soon as I sent an email off that I would figure it out.

This may sound stupid now, but I was trying to sign into chat without having signed in on the main forum. This worked before...

Now however it seems you have to sign in on the forum, then sign into chat in order for it to work.

Yes, I think this is better.

Sometimes I used to look at the "Members online" list, and think certain people may be in there. But it was usally loads of newbies who had not loggod into the main forum.

That is unusual...WHY do they never post or log onto the forum but are ALWAYS in the chat? Hmmm...strange.

They can log in through the main forum and then close the forum window but still stay in the chat, I've done it a couple of times. Hey pp88, you reading this?
