Where can you get the opportunities to expose yourself? I mean I have been playing a lot now in public, but I don't get the opportunities in real concert hall or even give real professioanl performance. What I do just purely entertaining for the public.
I don't feel anxious or stage fright like before. However, if I perform in the group of professional musicians or in large concert hall. I am sure I will get very nervous. I just don't get very much this sort of experience. Because, I learn from private teacher, I don't belong to any Universities, conservatorium, any other piano competition groups. Even though, piano competition is mostly only held once a year. Don't get enough experience. I had entered small piano competition before, I didn't win, but the experience was valuable because the judgers will give constructive criticism, and the why and how the way I was playing not sufficient. I think during the performance or even in examination, I know basically what is going wrong, becuase I am nervous, trying to get used to the strange piano. However, the feel and learning soon forget. I am always wondering ordinary pianists how can they get enough opportunities to pracitice this sort event. For example, like Lang Lang played for Olympic for Millions of people.
