Scarlatti sonata ?...
on: November 14, 2008, 11:21:58 AM
Dear,
What is Miss Argerich playing here (https://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=PcsRl_LIJHA) --- It says it's a Scarlatti Sonata K 141 but when I look it up in the American Music Library under the file Sonata with that number it appears to be something else.  Has it something to do with a certain 'Kirkpatrick edition' and if so, is it in public domain ?

Here's the site for you...  ;)

K.141 is L.422 AND P.271. And, all of Scarlatti's works are in public domain, everywhere.

thanks ! dear arensky,
what a thing - K is kirkpatrick and L is for Longo if I understand it well - that is some kind of shared public domain...  But since I have the correct information, now I try to download it from several sites, it is impossible...  Maybe due to some access problems, I'll try it tomorrow again, anyways lots of thanks for the information...
