Scarlatti - La Folia
on: June 02, 2004, 07:11:42 PM
Would it be sacrileges to play this piece Legato and very slow.
Sort of like to first movement of Beeth Moonlight Sonata.
From what I can tell, it's supposed to be played very fast and staccato, but I find it very moving when played slow with lots of feeling.
The version I have is very easy. I do not know if it is the proper one or a simplified transcription. There is no mention of transcription so I believe I am playing the real thing.
