Claudio Arrau - Beethoven Piano Sonatas Comple Cycle
on: January 20, 2009, 06:13:04 PM
How many times did Claudio Arrau record Beethoven´s sonatas?

In which years did he record the cycles?

Thanks
The masterpiece tell the performer what to do, and not the performer telling the piece what it should be like, or the cocomposer what he ought to have composed.

The new breed of composers - the cocomposer!  ;D
Never look at the trombones. You'll only encourage them.

Not sure how many he recorded, but it would have taken him about 20 years.

The Waldstein alone is 20 discs.

Aren't you confusing that with his recording of the Liszt Sonata?
