One Liszt Request, and One Liszt Inquiry
on: April 05, 2009, 12:32:24 PM
Does anyone have the score to this piece of Liszt:

S.582, O Lamm Gottes, unschuldig (1878-79)

Is that original, or is it a transcription of the Bach organ chorale?

And the inquiry: in Friskin and Freundlich's "Music for the Piano" they write this about Schubert's Wanderer-Fantasie:

"Here one has to overlook the structural weakness of the final Allegro... Liszt's suggestions in his edition for the revision of the finale do something to improve the effect, and are perhaps worth trying."

Would Liszt have made these suggestions in his piano/orchestra version, or did he make another solo edition of this piece?  Any information would be most appreciated.

Sorry for the delay old chap, i had to get out me EMB Editions.

O Lamm Gottes is an original work. It is included in the EMB Series 1, volume 10, various cyclical works II. It is right in the middle of a 180 page book, so regretfully there is no way i could get it under the scanner.

I will see if i can answer the other part of your post larer.

Thanks so much - you're a treasure!

How does O Lamm Gottes look - ie is it a virtuoso work or one along the lines of Ave Maria.
