Ahhh... and the possibility of taking lessons from the great pianistimo. I should save up, and get packing.
What do you suppose that she will teach you?

If Brut 45 is good enough for Henry Cooper, it is good enough for me.

The last place i would ever take anyone would be London. The prices are obscene, it is noisy, the whole City smells, the tubes are overcrowded, the trains are full of drunks and the taxis are driven by ex Albanian tank operatives.
Well, there are other places, of course - but where would you go?

However, i do know a little concert hall in Malborough Street that sometimes puts on a cheap show, but hardly a place for a first date and i do not know yet if she likes hot dogs.
The only one I know in London in a street that sounds like that is in Great Marlborough Street, so I don't know about the one that you mention; concert tickets there are certainly a good deal less expensive than quite a few venues in what I would wholeheartedly agree with you is an overpriced capital city, but what your paramour-to-be(-or-not-to-be)'s preference for canines of any tempertaure might have to do with it I have less than no idea. In any case, you would surely be more concerned with whether or not she appreciates hot Thals, n'est-ce pas?

Best,

Alistair

You asked for one 40 year old but got an offer from one 20 year old.

Possibly you would consider taking two 20's instead of one 40,
I don't know where you'll find the second 20 y.o., but check with c#minor, she seems open to possibilities.

Nah wouldn't work, me and Db have a shared age of 43 not 40, too old. :P

Wow I feel like a product for sale at an auction. :-\ :'( As much as I enjoy reading Thal’s funny remarks and toilet humour, he’s too old for me.

Sorry

There seems to be some confusion amongst some forum members that I am looking for a partner on here, I’m quite happy being single for now ;). ( Although any guys that that are my age and can blow me away with their rendition of Chopin’s 3rd ballade may be considered... 8))

Or maybe a dog.

We just got a puppy.  She's a Jack Russell mix, from the local pound.

But in line with your age requirements, you need one about 6 years old, that's 42 in people years.

Or, two 3 yo German Shepherds would be a nice addition to your home.

I just orded my 1st exotic pet online...a velvet worm 8) not quite as cuddly as a dog - more like a killer alien worm if you are its prey :-X. Hope it survives in the post!

Yes, it's our first dog.  My younger daughter has been begging for one for ages.  But my employer sent me to Germany for five years, and our landlord wouldn't allow pets.  Now that I'm back and have my own house, we can have one.

We got her from the animal shelter, so nobody knows what she's mixed with.  At three months she was 10 pounds, and now at five months she is 23 pounds.  She looks like a Jack Russell on steroids.  Had I known how hyper they are I might have gone for a pit bull or a Rottweiler instead.  <grin>

I am having a good life with my music I enjoy everyday, while I practice pieces on the piano, violin and guitar.  Music is my life and how it enriches me each day.  Music challenges me and enlightens my mind to new horizons.  I have good friends and making new ones that are of value to me .    So why should I get a life?   I already have a life!   ;D

best wishes,

Ha shes a beefy dog!  Our dog sometimes gets overweight as he loves to eat. Yeah they can be quite hyper dogs terriers, I have one a Border terrier. Hes still hyper even though hes middle aged now. The thing with them they are working dogs and have a lot of energy and they are really cleaver, but not so much as say a Collie.

You need to be a bit careful with them though as they can get snappy even if they are just playing they can use their mouths a lot, apart from that they are a good dog for kids. I wish I had a dog like that when I was young; as we had a Pug then and they aren’t into too much rough and tumble.

Regretfully, our moronic government did not realise the possibility that it was the owners that were dangerous and not the dogs.

Possibly you would consider taking two 20's instead of one 40, I imagine they are equivalent.

When I was 40, I asked my wife for two - 20's, but she told me I'm not wired for 220. ;D
