I want a wife, not a life. About time i got married.

Looking for someone 30-40, slim, blonde, no bloody kids, good sense of humour, don't mind doing the washing, obeys all my orders, stays silent when i am playing a CD, gets the beers in when the football is on, loves the banjo etc........

Thal, I wish you good luck in finding a wife to get a life, but in the meantime, you have to live a life anyway.  hum?

I want a wife, not a life. About time i got married.
Do you view the two as somehow mututally incompatible, then? That could surely be a problem if you find the former but do not already have the latter...

Looking for someone 30-40, slim, blonde, no bloody kids,
What about any other kind of kids?

good sense of humour, don't mind doing the washing, obeys all my orders, stays silent when i am playing a CD, gets the beers in when the football is on, loves the banjo etc........
I suspect that it may be the "etc." over which you might find the most pressing problems; still, may I wish you the best of good fortune in your searches! Actually, no - the biggest problem is probably going to be that banjo thing - but good luck anyway!

Can I apply?

I'm 20, fat, a kid, bad sense of humor, don't mind the washing unless I just played piano and my hands would hurt, will order you around and never stay silent, sure I'll get the beers but I hate football, I can play guitar too, and don't mind learning the banjo...

At least it was an offer! - but, as you have politely declined it, perhaps someone else on this forum might now come forward as a condidate for, after all, there must surely be no shortage of slim, blonde, childless, banjo-loving females aged between 30 and 40 with a good sense of humour who don't mind doing the washing, being subservient, remaining silent when your listen to recordings and procuring beer supplies whenever you are watching football, although I'm not so sure about that all-important "etc."...

Hmmm...

Well, i rather fancy the girl at the local Post Office. She has a nice figure, but her complexion is not very good.

Looks a bit like a satellite photo of the Alps.

I think i will put on some Brut 45 and ask her out, as long as she agrees to pay half of any expenses.

All of the above show that you have the most extraordinary understand of courtesy, chivalry and romance - er - well, maybe I exaggerate just a little. You say that this lady's complexion "is not very good", you describe her as being "a bit like a satellite photo of the Alps", you opine that it might be an idea to put on one of the cheapest an nastiest colognes that money can buy and then add the condition that your potential paramour-to-be has in advance to agree "to pay half of any expenses"; somehow, I cannot imagine that these expenses would run to decent tickets for a West End show and a table at a good London restaurant afterwards, followed by a taxi home.

Thal, I really do think that you may need to revise some ideas about this kind of thing...

If Brut 45 is good enough for Henry Cooper, it is good enough for me.

The last place i would ever take anyone would be London. The prices are obscene, it is noisy, the whole City smells, the tubes are overcrowded, the trains are full of drunks and the taxis are driven by ex Albanian tank operatives.

However, i do know a little concert hall in Malborough Street that sometimes puts on a cheap show, but hardly a place for a first date and i do not know yet if she likes hot dogs.

OK, so your observation may presumably be taken to refer - or rather have relevance - to Filipinos only and, since (without seeking to undermine them by so saying) they make up little more than 0.013% of the world's population, one might reasonably assume that, for the other 99.977% or so, the two are quite different entities.

Wow I haven't thought of that. I just thought - Love and expenditure? Is there a difference between the two? They both cost you. So why not consider then, that love doesn't lead to expenditure, but rather is equivalent to it?

Why not? Well, I imagine that as good a reason as any is that it is difficult realistically to create any direct meaningful equivalence between an emotion and a financial transaction.

They seem to go for Thai girls mostly, I recon they go over there and hypnotise them - bring them back to England - get married really quickly so the lady becomes a British citizen ::). Its like these young women are some sort of fashion accessory.  I called them the men that do this 'middle aged oriental woman snatchers'. I see quite a lot of them with their wifes taging along after them near me sometimes.

Say, there are some fine members here in the forum.  Although, it can be hard to *go out* with someone through the Internet.  lol   It seems that we get acquainted through these threads, is the member a "she" or a "he", which comes to mind with most members, along with the age and location.  At times it is the  usual questions that members in chat room would ask.   And some don't.  I think we all have a life, a real life, and an Internet life.  I wonder if it is for amusement or finding something concrete in our lives, or is it the connecting with someone.  Makes life interesting....hum

best wishes,

Ha ha this is a first for me I being chatted up by someone on the internet on a piano forum! lol  :D ;D Whether I'm 'cute' I have no idea... :-[ I wouldn’t consider myself particularly cute or good looking, like most humble people I have uncertainties about whether I’m attractive or not :(

The fact that you are Filipino is enough. Not not sure whats more trendy a Filipino girl or Thai or Twainese... a few years ago I bet Japanese girls were all the rage after all those films like Kill Bill, Matrix 2, etc that were influenced by manga and Japanese culture were about ::) ::)

There´s a hilarious episode in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, (which otherwise is a pretty shitty movie) when the dragqueens pick some farmer up who's married to an asian woman he married while he was drunk.

I somehow hoped that you might notice that (as indeed you did), just as I suspected that you would at the same time miss (as indeed you did once again) my words "or so" - and, in any case, "maths" per se is not pertinent here, for this is a matter of arithmetic, which is a mere branch of mathematics.

Yes - it;s called potentially (or, as it happense in this instnace, actuall) winding you up (albeit not in any malicious way, naturellement).

BOLLOX.
This is a word - and, indeed more especially, a spelling thereof - with which you are so familiar that the association between the word and its frequent user has almost become inseparable.

Just admit you made a mistake.
Just admit that you fell for it; as I mentioned previously, it's the "or so" that gives it away, as you have carefully avoided noticing (or admitting to)

It would make you appear more human.
I fear that less than nothng would guarantee doing that, mon cher!

You asked for one 40 year old but got an offer from one 20 year old.

Possibly you would consider taking two 20's instead of one 40, I imagine they are equivalent.  Particularly since db05 is fat, which ensures she is on a diet, which ensures she is cheap to feed.

I don't know where you'll find the second 20 y.o., but check with c#minor, she seems open to possibilities.

Of course they'll outlive you, but why would you care?  You'll be gone.
