First of all, so I don't seem too random, Hi

I lurk around here fairly often and enjoy reading everyone's posts (sometimes too much, and then I don't get any real work done...) Anyway, I have stepped out from under my rock for a minute to ask for some input which I haven't been able to find just by searching the forums.
I have a friend who's a violinist, and we want to play something for fun together. She's pretty good. Based on the ratings of the music downloads available here, I'd say I'm around a grade 7/8, on a good day. We both really like romantic-era music, which are of course a little more difficult...
Also, we'd like to perform for a music sorority of which I'm a member (she's not--yet

) The thing is, I'm a little wary that the piano parts in violin duets can come off as just accompaniments, which would make it much more my friend's performance than mine--which is fine, except that I'm the one whose membership requires her to perform once per semester.
So the issue is finding a piece that sort of "features" both of us a little bit... and isn't terribly difficult... and is romantic, if possible, because we are female and we basically cannot get enough of the 19th century in general
