IMSLP via a Mac
on: June 24, 2009, 10:00:22 PM
A friend of mine tells me she can't access IMSLP using her Mac. I'm a PC owner so can't help without sitting at her computer, which is the other side of town. Has anybody had similar trouble, and if so is there a simple fix? Thanks in advance.

Maybe first thing is to suggest another browser like Firefox.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

Not sure I understand;  I've never had a problem with IMSLP on a Mac- via Firefox or Safari.

Which Mac OS is your friend using?

Thanks for that, that's just the sort of definite feedback I was hoping for! I'll tell her to check settings and stuff. It's not as if anything on IMSLP is tricky or new-fangled, after all, I was just wondering if some incidental feature of the site upsets something in a typical Mac setup.

Poems of Ecstasy – Scriabin’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

The great early 20th-century composer Alexander Scriabin left us 74 published opuses, and several unpublished manuscripts, mainly from his teenage years – when he would never go to bed without first putting a copy of Chopin’s music under his pillow. All of these scores (220 pieces in total) can now be found on Piano Street’s Scriabin page. Read more
