Every now and again when i do not have a big scanning project on, i start to scan my pile of old scores, thus preserving them for eternity.
My mother is now at her wits end with "that pile of old junk" and i can see her throwing them away, so i thought i had better get some digitalised and dump them in here.
My first effort is the L'Orage from Steibelt's Piano Concerto No 3 and is dedicated to Mr A Hinton in the hope that this might stimulate his interest in early 19th century charlatans. This piece was immensely popular in its day and was probably played by every amatuer in Europe.
I did already have a scan of this, but this 1820's print is nicely fingered and contains some alternatives. This has probably been out of print for 150 years, so i was glad to find an original.
Following scans will mostly consist of concertos, transcriptions and pieces that will irritate the average modernist.
