Beethoven - Pathétique Sonata (complete)
on: August 23, 2009, 05:36:49 AM
I first learned this piece about 10 years ago but was recently inspired to resuscitate it, which doesn't happen very often with me and old pieces... anyway, I thought I would share the result since I was fairly satisfied with it, especially the third movement.

im not sure if you really the one who played this its too perfect.. It will be more convincing if theres a video, some uploaded mp3 here came from great pianist or recordings so im not convince that some are faking there playing.

There are mistakes all over the place...  The piano is a synth or sampled.  Sounds midi-fied in places (regardless of whether or not is it--another way of saying this is that the tempo is horrifically metronomic).

No problem with midi, sampled piano, whathaveyou..... but God please make it both listenable and, indeed, beautiful.

Women and the Chopin Competition: Breaking Barriers in Classical Music

The piano, a sleek monument of polished wood and ivory keys, holds a curious, often paradoxical, position in music history, especially for women. While offering a crucial outlet for female expression in societies where opportunities were often limited, it also became a stage for complex gender dynamics, sometimes subtle, sometimes stark. From drawing-room whispers in the 19th century to the thunderous applause of today’s concert halls, the story of women and the piano is a narrative woven with threads of remarkable progress and stubbornly persistent challenges.
