Scriabin editions

Which editions are best to purchase? I'm looking for Op. 6 Sonata º1 and Op. 30 Sonata º4.

Don't say Henle Verlag, because they haven't published these yet, and won't until 2012 or something (I wrote to the editor), god damn them.

I have used Edition Peters so far, but I also don't any others. There must be some Russian publisher which maybe would be a "first-hand" choice?

Dover has a volume of all 10 Sonatas.  It's a copy of a Russian edition.   Great buy.

I've used the Peters for reference.  Good for checking fingerings.  The 10 Sonatas are divided into two volumes.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach

Really! How convenient. I'm looking into buying the Peters edition then I suppose.

Edit: I looked on the Peters website, are you sure they are divided into two volumes? Are they titled something besides "Sonatas"?

Dover has 3 volumes of Scriabin music.  I believe it covers almost all if not all of his solo piano works. All are copies from Russian publishers.  I've got all of these.

The Peters I borrowed from the library.  I've believe it is Volume V and VI.  Scribbled on some notes I have is the Peters number for volume VI which is 9077f.

EDIT:  I did some digging.  Here are the two volumes.

I'd like to restart this discussion - I'm getting very interested in playing more Scriabin and want some decent editions.  I have the Dover edition of the Preludes/Etudes, the print isn't great, especially compared to Henle.  Henle publishes op 8, 11, and the sonatas.  I'm particularly interested in op 42 etudes.  I have never liked the print in Peter's editions...

Does anyone know about the editions from German publisher, M.P. Belaieff? (see image)

IMC edition of Op.42 is good.
Soviet edition edited by Igumnov is also good and can be found on IMSLP.

i have to chime in on this one because i played scriabin sonatas 7 and 9 the past couple of years - the new Bärenreiter is superb. very nice book, easy to read, with excellent notes in the front. really good information. i strongly recommend you invest in the Bärenreiter, just get all the Sonatas so you have them (4 volumes).

Poems of Ecstasy – Scriabin’s Complete Piano Works Now on Piano Street

The great early 20th-century composer Alexander Scriabin left us 74 published opuses, and several unpublished manuscripts, mainly from his teenage years – when he would never go to bed without first putting a copy of Chopin’s music under his pillow. All of these scores (220 pieces in total) can now be found on Piano Street’s Scriabin page. Read more
