Once I got myself momentarily trapped in a reflection in the mirror.  I had a couple of mirrors adjusted in such a way that my reflection was infinite, and I looked so far into it that something happened and I got lost and trapped and had to "find my way out" again.  Of course, it all took place in a couple of moments and I wasn't actually trapped, but for a moment I could imagine I was and I felt like it really happened.
Certain populations consider a reflection a great esoteric power.  It has certainly got a hold of the entire western civilization.  To the point where I don't think we would be able to live a day without it.  Think about it.

Are you quite certin that it wasn't K that you saw in that mirror?

Best,

Alistair

Well, sometimes it's not quite K nor is it even m1469.  But, sure, those are "in there" somewhere.

Certain populations consider a reflection a great esoteric power.  It has certainly got a hold of the entire western civilization.  To the point where I don't think we would be able to live a day without it.  Think about it.

I don't know that I have considered it the same as you suggest or as western civilization is said to consider it, but I have definitely considered thoughts and ideas regarding it.  I don't necessarily think of it as much at the time, at least not at all in the way of my human reflection in the material mirror, but have certainly spent my fair share of actually avoiding mirrors and living sometimes lifestyles where there simply weren't any to be found for weeks at a time.  Reflection, to me, other than being a kind of thought process, aside from being an image in a mirror, can come to mean something much different than those.  And, it is ever-evolving and manifesting itself.

I don't think I have really ever mentioned it to nearly anybody before, but I was reminded of it recently and I am apparently deciding to post about it.

When I was quite young and curious (maybe 8?), I once observed a huge amount of little black ants covering some kind of piece of something (I can't remember what it was).  For some reason I got curious about what it would feel like if those ants were covering my hand the same way, and so I actually put my hand there and let them walk all over it and it felt really strange!  I can still remember the sensation!  It's kinda grody.

I got so cold last night, I had a dream that I fell into a pond in my local park and went to Wal-Mart. The owner of Wal-Mart was stocking shelves. And, two of my friends were filling Dr. Pepper bottles with Skittles.

I wear a bow tie instead of long tie.

I collect Lego bricks.

I know virtually everything about men's formalwear.

I watch "My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic".

Odd enough?  ::)

hmmm ... I really enjoy "faced" shelves at the grocery store  :-[.  Just this evening I went to the grocery store and there was a woman who was in the middle of facing, but a lot of it was already done.  I wanted to tell her "wow, this is BEAUUUUTIFULLL!" haha ... but I refrained.  That used to be something I had to do, too.  There's just something about it being completely organized that I just really like.  But, you know what?  There has to be *something* that's out of place.  There just has to be.  I mean, at least at home or in a drawing (actually, my house is the opposite, it's completely out of place except for a few things that happen to be in place).  It can't be completely perfect, there has to be something that is out of place.  But, faced shelves at the grocery store ... ahhh ... gorgeous!

In the spirit of faced shelves. . . If I'm in a bookstore or a music store, and the shelves are dishevelled from customers, I'll reorganize them.

Ah gawd, I do *love* mechanical pencils!  :'(

I was a ballerina ... ages ago.  Probably at that point I was already the acceptable adult height ... I think I was about 8 years old ... I also took tappety tap.  I like ballet ... I'm secretly still a ballerina.  One time I was in this voice class thing (somebody paid for me to take it, which was very nice of them), and in one of our sessions we were supposed to go across the room like it was some kind of performance on stage, but we were just supposed to randomly "spaz out" and be randomly crazy while we went across it in front of everybody ... I literally couldn't do it, it made me almost cry and want to go into fetal position  :-X.  The only thing I could do, and the compromise we came to, was that I would twirl across the room like a ballerina ... hmmmm ...  :)  Ok, but that was several years ago by now.

I play the piano.  :P

Seriously, though. I'm a beginner indie game designer, also working with the piano in my spare time. Currently I have some experience in Unity 3D, but I'm working with the Source engine now, hoping to make a mod that would look good on a resume for a job at Valve as a mapper. Still in 8th grade now, so it's going to be a while before I can get hired, but I might as well get started working in the engine now.

EDIT: Also, I'm a lefty.  ;D

EDIT AGAIN: Also, I taught myself to play the piano, never had a teacher for it. I'm probably horrible, but I can't really judge myself on that.
Unity 3D is getting annoying. I'm temporarily using Source instead.

YES!!!!  It's about as dramatic as it can get!  And I hope Richard is only kidding.  And if not, perhaps he can tell us what's going on ....
