I used to be a music student, but I quit studying. I lost interest in everything and found it nothing but hard work.

If we could chat, I'd tell you what I remember.

I used to be a piano performance major in college, but quit after 2 years because of problems with my nerves.  Anyhow, I continued studying piano from my teacher  for a year.  I have been teaching piano from my home.  I play piano for enjoyment now.  I have composed music for piano, and also for violin.  I've done arrangements for violin a few years ago.  That's about it for me.

best wishes,

I used to be a rubbish piano player.

I have also quit.
I'm sure one day I will resume where I left off.
I just realised that I was sh*t, and I had to work hard to be that.
I am now concentrating on Bass Guitar, again.
If God really exists, then why haven't I got more fingers?

Started playing piano when I was 9, forced into it by my parents but only continued after they thought I had some decent talent (and I enjoyed the music).

Studied it through High School and was interested in nothing but classical music and went to University to do a Degree in Music Education, so I could teach High School students about music.

Taught in classrooms for two years and realised I was much better at Piano teaching, rather than classroom teaching and now I'm attempting to sit the Fellowship of Music exam next year in September which is AMEB's most prestigous award and their highest exam.

So basically - I'm crazy. But I do it because I love playing. Hoping to give concerts in the years to come and to play a few piano concertos with the orchestra. So can't wait to sink my fingers into Brahms 1st.

I am a pianist and a composer, I do both about equally. I am still a middle school student but I have plans of eventually studying either composition or piano performance at a conservatory. I do not formally study music theory although I know about an intermediate amount of theory.
