Topic having to do with dancing + simple chord progression + RANDOM-a$$ music video = pop chart topper.

She apparently puts on a really good show for her fans, but I can't stand her music.  They all have that relentless dance-beat undertone with the overdone synthesizer.  It's club/dance music, and hopefully she doesn't start grabbing all the awards at the Grammy's for "best rock album" and "best country album"  ;)

Also, this is what comes up in google, when I type in "lady gaga"

Interested in discussing:

-Prokofiev Toccata
-Scriabin Sonata 2

Typical famous pop star bullcrap is all it is. I haven't bought into any of it for various reasons, including the ones nanabush mentioned, and that is the reason why Lady Gaga sucks, along with most other pop stars today.
