Piano advice needed
on: August 04, 2010, 12:57:43 PM
Hi there, we are a young couple from the Netherlands, willing to buy our first piano. However, we don't have any experience in terms of knowledge or playing on the piano! We already visited some shops, comparing different piano brands, but what is the best one to choose ?? Although we are going to invest in a relative cheap piano, 3000 euro is still a lot of money! And I don't want to spent my money on garbage! Are there watch out brands ? We are currently looking into Wendl & Lung, C.Ebel & Sohn, Konig, W. Biese and Schwechten Bellin. Can you give us some advises regarding these brands ? Is there a huge difference in quality ?

Pardon my ignorance but I am from Canada and I have never heard of these companies.  The best advice I could give you is to go online and read customer reviews.

3000 euros is a lot of money.  Perhaps you might consider purchasing a good quality used piano or even an electric piano is fantastic for beginning piano lessons.

www.pianobuyer.com has a pretty good guide for brands and model prices and generally on purchasing a piano.

I've not really heard of those brands neither
