Should I?

Should I save for this? It looks awesome, and thing is, their store is actually not that far from me.
There is a website link in the description, but it's in Dutch, so you might want to use google translator or something haha.

Just wondering, because it looks very awesome, and I will be getting piano lessons soon, so for the time being I can practice on my keyboard from the year 1000 bc. And since I have no place for a piano in my room, I'm mainly just wondering...~~!!

Thanks,

Couvondre

PS. You're able to plug headphones in to it! So that's like a HUGE pro right? :)

Being a full time university student with a part time job as well, who lacks both the space and money for a real piano I am forced out of necessity to own a digital piano.  In this respect I am grateful for the existence of digital pianos.  However, they have their drawbacks as well.  1) While the action on them is usually of a high quality light touch (which I like), the feeling of hammers just hitting a metal plank is not as satisfying as getting that subtle rebound of a real piano.  2) The damper pedal on a digital piano does not accurately represent what real high quality piano is capable of and frequently (depending on the model) there is no soft pedal or LH pedal.  Though, for recording digital pianos are quite handy and make a sturdy desk or counter when the the lid is down.

It seems to me that this Digital "Classic" Piano offers nothing more than a standard Digital Piano other than the fact that it looks nicer.  My own philosophy is that a person should never resort to a digital piano unless one is a victim of circumstance like me, and even I limit my usage of it when I can in favour of practising on real pianos at my conservatory.

If you have the space then save a little longer and spend your money on a real piano.

The only possible scenario I could conceive of where something like this would be desirable is in a apartment, where neighbours might not be so receptive to late night practising.  If this is the case then there might be an argument for this piano.  But if I was in that situation I would purchase a digital baby grand:

There are many affordable good quality used pianos for sale.  If the issue is budget look to these first.

I'd consider a digital if you have noise issues with neighbors, extreme space constraints, or require portability or a gigging keyboard.

I find it quite interesting that the video of that digital piano doesn't use piano for the background music.  Like making a promo of a sports car with whale song as the background.
Made a Liszt. Need new Handel's for Soler panel & Alkan foil. Will Faure Stein on the way to pick up Mendels' sohn. Josquin get Wolfgangs Schu with Clara. Gone Chopin, I'll be Bach
