Two requests this time...
on: August 25, 2010, 04:32:03 AM
Hey everybody,

Does anyone have or know where I could get the next two pieces for free, preferably in PDF format?

-A piano 2-hands arrangement of Haydn's 'Oxford' Symphony No.92,
and
-Manuel M. Ponce's Concert Study 'Jarabe'.

Thanks!

I have almost all of Ponce's piano music uploaded to my mediafire account.

Cheers! That was much faster than I expected; thank you both! And now I would like to know two more things: is that the only Haydn Symphony you've got arranged for piano 2-hands, Thal, or you've got some more, perchance? And this one's for you, remy, have you got Ponce's 'Scherzino Mexicano', '5 Chinese Poems' and his 'Piano Concert'? I've got a generous selection of his works myself but those three have been in my wishlist for quite some time now and so far I've had no luck with any of them.

Thanks once more!

P.S. I did think Ponce might be a bit too dodgy for this place, Thal, but well, it was worth a try, and it really was worth it!  ;D

I have no other Haydn 92's regretfully.

Both Ponce Concerto's are in the CPS archives, but not digitalised.

Again, i don't think the forum boss would want his music posted here.

Actually, I meant if you had any more of Haydn's Symphonies arranged for piano 2-hands, Thal; I believe I saw the 94th at IMSLP, Horn's arrangement, unless I'm much mistaken, but I wonder if you have any others apart from that one?

And why exactly would the forum boss not want Ponce's music posted here?

Thanks

I will fire up me old hard drive as i think that i have several more Haydn.

Ponce is still copyrighted in UK, which is why i would not personally post on this forum.

Thank you, man, I'd really appreciate that.

Too bad about Ponce still being copyrighted over there but well, at least I got lucky with the 'Jarabe'.

For Haydn Symphony transcriptions go to IMSLP.org and waltwrcosand.org, where you will find many transcriptions. Also try henseltlibrary.wordpress.org and search August Horn, George Micheuz, and Louis Winkler for many others.
Good luck.

Thanks, mate! IMSLP does have a few more transcriptions than I expected: 86, 93, 94, 95, 97, 98, 99, 100, 101, 102, 103, 104  ;D  I couldn't find anything at waltercosand or at henseltlibrary but thanks, anyway. However, I still would love to have a shifty at Thalbergmad's stuff in case he's got any others. Will be anxiously waiting for that, Thal.

Laziness prevents me from checking if these are already on imslp. There are 44 transcriptions within.

If this does not suffice, i can always ask me old mate Caprotti if he will allow his Hofmann and Micheuz transcriptions to be posted.

Well, I assure you that'll keep me happy for a long, long time, Thal  ;)  However, if you happen to be able to post some more, now that would be even more terrific, especially if you have some earlier ones like maybe some of his 'Paris' ones or even earlier than those.

Thanks once more, mate.

There are a fair few more for 4 hands, but a lot of the earlier ones appear to have been ignored by transcribers.
