My god, this sounds like every pianist's nightmare on trying an unforgiving piano before a recital! slippery white keys and black twiglike keys that cast forbidding shadows and look bigger then they really are.
You might have something there. The plastic used to make the ivory look-alike keys could very well be cold in a cold room. There might also be a slight narrowing of the from the base towards the top
of the black keys.
In the long run, it might help your accuracy in hitting the right notes, who knows?
