Beethoven's Op. 109

I've used the search function but found nothing, so I thought I'd start a thread on this. Beethoven's Sonata No. 30 is my second favorite piano sonata of all-time (though his Op. 111 is constantly fighting for that place), and I'd like to get a really good recording of it. I've heard that Gilels plays it very well, but I'm curious about other recommendations as well. Thanks.

I recall Vladimir Feltsman's to be of a very good standard.

As I´ve been listening more and more to recordings on historical instruments, I can warmly recommend Malcolm Bilsons recording, on fortepiano. Very touching, as I remember it.

Going to learn this piece myself soon...if I´ll have enough time for it...

Depends a lot on your taste but some of my favourites are Brendel, Kempff, and Barenboim. Also think that Ashkenazy's rendition is very special for me

I like Andras Schiff's performances. Also his lectures-at-the-keyboard on the sonatas (free at the Guardian web site) are marvelous.
