Search for a User's Threads
on: December 09, 2010, 09:08:32 AM
I was just looking for a thread one user started (I don't know its title) and couldn't find it.

Would it be possible to have a function that would allow one to search for a thread not according to its title, but based on its creator's ID? If such a function already exists, I apologize. Thanks.

If you click the "Advanced search" link below the search field you will be able to search for posts by specific members. Note that the search field at the top right is a general website search feature while the link to the forum search is located in the forum sub menu at the top left of the forum.

How do you search for threads created by users? It is possible to search all the threads they have posted in but how can you specifically search for the ones where they have created and were the initial poster?

It doesn't look like the search function can limit to who started the thread.  Maybe Nils can add that?

You can click on the bar above each board and sort the whole board by date, replies, and thread starter.  You have to look through a lot of pages sometimes to find who you want but it does collect them by the first poster in that thread for that board.
