Deejeff,
I never actually have played the Samick SE900 but I know the veneer style construction for sound in their acoustic pianos are very much like the Yamahas. As for digital pianos I prefer Yamaha. I also buy only new so taking that in account, finding a good price in a DP plays a lot in the decision. The best DP I've tried was a Yamaha CP5 but now we're talking bucks. If the Samick is within your budget. Get it. You might be pleased. Most pianist I know usually go through a few before finding the one for them anyway.
Good luck.

Musically, Jimbo

Korg makes a fine instrument. If I was concerned about buying an American made keyboard, that would be my choice.

Well, acoustic would definitely give you a better feel and sound true to the piano. The two biggest pluses for a digital is never needing to be tuned and portability. Not to mention a big cost difference. Nowadays you can get a digital that's very close to an acoustic in feel and sound. Seems like it always comes down to personal taste and need.
Be sure to do your shopping though. Here's the site I use to look around and buy from...

Good hunting, Jimbo
