Hi Natalie. I have read your post at least 5 times and I still cant figure out exactly what your saying.  It seems to me that most of the questions you have should be directed to your new teacher.  Also  , its as easy as pie to look up on the web the San francisco conservatory and see what they actually require for entrance there.  I wish I could be more help, but i just dont get exactly what your saying. 

Anyway welcome to the forum and maybe you could post again, but keep your post more direct and easier for others to understand.  best of luck with your studies.
