"Panthalassa"
on: February 24, 2011, 02:14:30 PM
Ok one "last" impro from me for a little while, going to be busy with another project soon. This I improvised this year and noted similarities to another piece of mine, so this is Panthalassa, a feminine counterpart to Pangaia! Enjoy!

I'm listening right now and enjoying it a lot. Part of the first section reminded me of this vaguely:

Agitha's Castle

I like the constantly shifting modal/harmonic stuff  :) I think this is my favorite of yours so far.

All I meant was you keep changing what scales and chords you're in, I liked the variety. I wasn't thinking of some textbook music theory thing if that's what you were wondering  :)

I enjoyed this improv.  It does have shifting scalar modes and tonal centers giving it an exotic atmosphere at times.  Very creative!
