Op. 49/2

If that's too long, check out his Sonatinas, e.g. Sonatina in G, short and sweet.

Also, check all those threads on this forum that talk about the difficulties of Beethoven sonatas.

Hi jess!!  :)

Beethoven Sonata Op. 49, No. 2 is the easiest.  According to some infos, it is also known as the "Sonata Facile" and I found out that it is the only Beethoven Sonata that is not allowed for auditioning at Julliard.

Actually, off the top of my head, I think Julliard excludes four beethoven sonatas from auditions: op. 14, op. 49 #1 & 2, and op. 79.

I strongly agree to whoever posted Op. 49 No. 1 and 2 as one of the easiest Beethoven sonatas.

I you are planning to play an easy one you should try these.
