mozart requiem
on: August 10, 2004, 08:32:23 AM
I really like all LIszt's opera/overture transcriptions, and I know there is no way he made a reminisces of MOzart's reuqiem...but is there a piano transcription of some or all of it?? Or does any budding composer want to do me a big, non-commision favor and transcribe the entire work a la liszt to solo piano for me??!
eh?

I know Liszt transcribed at least part of the mozart requiem; I have Confutatis Maledictis & Lacrymosa (thanks to the classical music archives), but I am doubtful as to whether he did the entire requiem.
btw, when I have the whole work transcribed, I will let you know...

I know the whole Mozart Requiem vocal score with piano accompaniment is downloadable at
www.cpdl.org
. The piano part is a reduction of the orchestral score. That version (on cpdl) is pretty accurate with other scores (in print).
