a description of your first and last date

Matt, you are truly the epitome of wit. Truly. Your ingenuity stuns me. How many search engines did you shuffle through to find that one?

Actually, I think that MATT BLACK may be some sort of machine made by the creators of piano forum in order to add entertainment to it. See watch.... hey matt... make a ridiculous remark about my name.

I hope Grieg is laughing in his grave at "stench met girl." I really doubt he had that on his mind when he composed the piece.

I still need someone so explain it to me.
My first date involved meeting a stinking man? Or I met a smelly girl? Or I was the source of the stench? It's really beyond me.

It's a cute piece! (No, I really do think it's cute!) I remember telling a friend (jokingly) when he was sight reading it from a little folder of beloved pieces I keep that it sounded more like a "bumbleefly" rather than "butterfly" when he played it!

Spam? What spam!

oh don't worry Seaside_Lee I had given up on that ages ago - there have been some very good responses for which I am grateful and will publish at some point but there have been plenty of people slagging me off  if you expect me to be nice to narrwo minded, blinkered, self opinionated morons who do not realize that playing music from sheet music is not the only way to play music in the world and can not accept that some people are very capable without a score in front of them and  can not explain the difference between a trick and a scale or arpeggio ...then you expect too much......

I ask for some help - the people who want to give help have very kindly done so but the others who decided to slag me off had a choice:
a. Do not bother responding if not interested
b. Supply a very negative response

They chose to start a debate/throw useless insults so why would I want to let them down

I therefore have a choice
a. Do not bother responding
b. Defend my honour!!

I love arguing and find it a good laugh and also I defend myself when challenged therefore why would you expect to see replies anything other than the ones I supplied

Anyway as I said previously it turns out that this 'useless' thread that does not deserve to be on such a serious forum [I dont know the type of people I am dealing with apparently] is  the most read and replied to on here - getting a reaction on here is like conducting an orchestra....

I put forward some ridiculous argument and insult the username while I am at it and what an effect - loads responses saying 'what a useless thread', 'what an ignorant moron', 'you can not play tricks you must play scales' , 'you untalented idiot' , ' you know nothing about music'  'blah blah blah' , 'bullsh*t bullsh*t' etc....works every time then when I point out that it is the most popular thread on here...and it was so predictable.........it all goes silent........they realize  they have been played like puppets!!!

I do not now what kind of people I am dealing with? I think I know exactly what kind of people some of you are.............

You may have already been there? ...but, the "learn jazz piano website" has tons of useful info ...sure, its all jazz piano related of course but, very helpful for those who want to move in that direction (like me :))

There are loads of friendly members ;)  there who love helping newbies and wannabe jazz players.

So, you have not even made it to bronze yet… :'( (By the way, getting more than 30 26 reads – to get to first – should not be so difficult, after all al you have to of is load your own post another 1500 times. However, getting more than 364 replies may prove trickier – although I guess you could reply to yourself… Anyway don’t let this discourage you! Keep your dream alive!) ;)

Best wishes,
Bernhard.

Ok Mr Pedant - it may surprise you but I had not actually read through every page of history on this forum looking for threads with more reads/replies and even if I had direct database access I would not have been interested enough to knock up a query - I am just making a point that on a brief look through recent history [i.e. the first 4 or 5 pages of the Student Corner] this has been by far the most replied to thread even though many forum members keep saying it is useless.

I agree this thread is not  a contender for most posts... but more than half of the answers on this thread are all abou telling Matt what a moron he is. The others are Matt himself making fun of peoples names and being a moron.... that most be some kind of record. Most consecutive posts discussing how much of a moron Matt is.  ;D
For a good laugh, check out my posts in the audition room, and tell me exactly how terrible they are :)

no it's more to do with the fact that you can only try to emphasise that you're a moron a certain amount until we get bored and move on to more interesting topics.and thus you are not the centre of our world i'm sorry to say

Matt, you really fascinating. Just because people are 'serious musicians' does not mean they cannot have a decent laugh at someone who proves himself to be, oh, quite interesting - and I use the term loosely.

Keep up the insults. How does it feel to have around 10 people tell you're the greater moron?

We pianists must spend some time warming up before we are at our best technically. With me it takes about 20 minutes. Yesterday I worked out with weights and went to practice right away. Wow, fingers were at top speed within 5 minutes! All that blood pumped throught the body included the fingers. Try it.
