Finger Pain

I need help. Is it normal to experience finger pain, and some hardening of the fingers when it's cold?

I'm not sure what how to answer this....it depends upon how much you practice on the piano and how your fingers are positioned while you play.  You shouldn't feel any kind of pain while playing.  Striking the keys shouldn't produce pain.    I think in most cases, the cold could cause stiffness of the fingers, but moving the fingers shouldn't be painful.  is the pain continual?  is it throbbing all the time?

I know you are trying to seek some advice on the forum. However, if the pain is really bothering you, you need to see a doctor. We cannot nor should diagnose your condition. Moreover, you did not describe fully where the pain is. Is it the knuckle, the first or second joint, or pad?
With that qualification in place, from my experience, some discomfort or ache may be due to cold or humidity, or an overuse of fingers and hands; for example a day of gardening or heavy weight training. But it is really pain, then you do need medical attention especially if it persisted over a few days. Our hands and fingers are most crucial to our music. Best wishes! Please take good care of your hands and fingers.
