do you mean midi files of

horowitz transcriptions or

are you talking about midi

files of pieces that have

been performed by horowitz

edited to sound somewhat

like his performances of the

piece?

@lelle

If they are to be of good quality, but if not, i'll edit the midi.

Unless someone posts a midi of a piano roll, unedited.

Any midii of a. volodos or V. horowitz is fine.

Or if anyone has a good audio to midi software.

And if not even that, I can tell you some goodies.

Sincerely,
steinway_d

@jimbo320

Can someone give me any midi file of horowitz or volodos?
I'm tired of explaining, and re-explaining, and even more re-explaining.

Thanks jimbo320,

But you haven't really explained anything. You said you wanted some Horowitz midi files but what does that even mean? Horowitz recorded repertoire, yes, but those recordings consist of actual audio recorded when he plays and can be found on the internet convertet from the CD's to formats like .wav, .mp3 and so on. But there is no easy magical way to convert recordings of complex works from normal formats like .wav and .mp3 to midi if you expect everything to convert perfectly.

Dear piano street members who have replied to me,

I apologize for the comment I made,
"I'm tired of explaining, and re-explaining, and even more re-explaining."

All I am looking for is a
midi file of a Horowitz transcription like Carmen, Hungarian Rhapsody No. 15 in A minor, etc.

But, if you could, I would want a Midi file of Horowitz playing the Scriabin piano sonata no. 5, op. 53. I know, lelle, that converting audio to midi is difficult, like for example, the sonata op. 53 that I want, I have tried WIDI™, an audio to midi converter, Melodyne, and many others.

I have chosen to talk to Zenph Studios in North Carolina for help.

I am sorry for any confusion I have caused.

Thank you,

steinway_d

If you could do this successfully, then technically you could have Horowitz playing your digital piano?  You might tbe able to learn a lot.

I believe there is a utility in Logic Pro for making audio into midi -but the level of perfection you would require may be asking a bit too much.  SFLogicNinja has a tutorial on YouTube for using this utlity if you would like to check it out.  He is an expert on everything Logic and Mac.
When a search is in progress, something will be found.

Thank you,
starstruck5 for your
recommendation of the
logic pro audio to midi.
I tried that on logic, but it's only for drum beats, it seams like.
I contacted Zenph Studios, but I got no answer.
Hmmmmm…

Yes, starstruck5.

Thank you so very much for all of the recommendations.
