Predictions? September 18, 2012?
on: September 18, 2011, 05:34:58 PM
"I predict the satellite falling to earth in the next week won't be a big deal at all.  It will fall in an unpopulated area and will barely make the news.  There's a 1/3200 chance you'll be hit by it I believe."

Well I got one.  Not that that was such a big stretch.   ::)  I played the odds well.

I predict they'll find another earthlike plant somewhere out there.

I predict the U.S. economy will still be about the same as it is now.  Crappy.  And it will still be crappy at this time next year.  Not good, but horrible.  Just blah.

I predict in the U.S. it will be narrowed down to three main presidential candidates.  Obama, a Republican, and someone else from one of the other parties.  With the split, Obama will be reelected (but that's for the next year's version of the thread) and it will echo the one Clinton election with Ross Perot.  People aren't happy and will try to raise another party but that won't work.

I predict the usual ups and downs in the stock market but no major crashes.

I predict, I'll proably have advanced a level (a level five I guess) and be playing pieces that are difficult for me.
I'll probably have a dinky little portable keyboard just as a bribe to get me to stay at least one weekend on the houseboat/river yacht my stepdad bought.
I'll, be very bored with my life (already) and hoping that the recently spotted Earth like planet they found several light years away will make some progress. But, of course America won't get there at all because of NASA shut down.
Rising prices on everything, and lower quality.
McDonald's will not have a dollar menu but a dollar fifty menu.
Oh, and the first time gun rights are mentioned there will be riots.

I predict... Andy Rooney will die (if he's not already).  At the ceremony, a bunch of old people will eulogize him with ornery, bickering complaints.

Hey, hey.  I got one.  That's just over a month after I predicted it.  "Old person dies" though.  Big surprise.

I predict some kind of social upheaval in North Korea and/or a more obvious conflict between North and South Korea.

Even though it's probably technically too late to make predictions for this year now and even though it's a predictable prediction.

*Bob tries to think of other old world leaders.*

Castro!  Is he still alive?  I predict he'll go next.

Well... Bob - that was an interesting read - gotta admit... Some of those predictions he really nailed, but some weren't even close. I loved the one about Americans being taller because of their levels of incredible health and fitness...    ;D

Wasn't America considered the most obest country per average just last year?

Probably.

I'll add an early one for Sept 2012-Sept2013.  Madonna will go.  She'll overdose on human growth hormone or testosterone.  That will make three.  I don't think that other lady who died was famous enough.  Michael Jackson.  Whitney Houston.  And then Madonna.

I'll stick an early one in for 2013.

Dolly Parton.  She'll go next.  Maybe drugs or some kind of surgical glitch, not necessarily plastic surgery.

Hmm.  Mike Wallace died.

I've determined it's not good to be famous -- a pop star, world leader, etc. because you'll die.  The pop stars will overdose.  The world leaders will died.

And if you live in an area that can withstand a significant natural disaster, that type of disaster will happen pretty soon.

I've determined it's not good to be famous ... because you'll die.

Um, you are planning on avoiding that particular outcome by remaining obscure? ::)

Well he was 93, after all.

No reason to breed sinister conclusions, I think :)

Exactly.  Mike Wallace died many times again today.

How many nobody's died?  None.  None that I know of or heard of.

Sounds like a plan to me.  It's just hard to argue with logic like that, isn't it?  ::)

Also true... Who lives forever?  Nobody.  So there you go.  Be a nobody.  Nobody lives forever.  Be famous... Your time is limited, general dying according to your profession, like rock star overdosing or writing that tenth symphony.

Actually I'm waiting for that other guy on CBS to say something.  The old guy.  You know that's going through his mind and everyone else who's interviewing him.  Sad, morbid, and darkly humorous.

Dang... Whitney Houston died.  You *can* predict that stuff.  *shakes head*  I should have thrown in some rock stars or celebrities.  They're always going to go.
"She was 48."
Uh huh.  Sniff, sniff.

I'll still stick to Dick Clark.  I'm going to be right eventually.

I got one!

And man... Those twins from that video.  They're going to be crushed.

... Not that predicting an old person is going to die is much of a prediction.

Yep.  Here they are.

I see I've been predicting this since 2009/2010.  I thought Dick Clark was 90-something.
